Just when I thought every wonton soup was from the same frozen food distributor Chi Dumpling proved me very very wrong.
House-made wonton served in a sublime broth -- I may never enjoy "regular" wonton soup again. -

I haven't had that much Vietnamese food - there isn't always a lot of vegetarian options in that cuisine. I was in the mood for a soup so ventured to try their veggie noodle soup - I didn't see all these reviewers prior maybe it would've swayed my decision. But regardless, from a vegetarian point of view the options are limited here but I enjoyed my meal. The flavor was subtle; I couldn't taste any other spices other than salt but it wasn't an overdose of salt a good amount. The soup was served nice and hot - they have a very sturdy to go bowl.
The two girls behind the counter were very friendly and were able to tell me that the vegetarian noodle soup was made with veggie broth and the dark noddles (forgot the name).
It was my first visit to the Plaza Food Hall so wasn't which stall was best. I did note that compared to other food halls the entire place was more expensive -- it's more "gourmet" food. I agree with other Yelps, it's quite overpriced - a veggie noodle soup cost me $15! This location though has it's fair share of tourists and working local people. -

The price of this food is lowkey a crime. I sincerely regret coming here without checking yelp. If I had seen the yelp review I probably would have been persuaded against eating here. However, I had no data and couldn't connect to the wifi so I guess this will be a learning experience for all those that read this review. To start off the food is meh at best. I ordered the Salmon Teriyaki rice bowl and the salmon was overcooked. The ends of it felt like biting into a rock because it was so overcooked it hardened and had no flavor. Everything else that came with the meal was mediocre. There was cabbage with some dressing that I can't really describe, pickled vegetables, and two cucumbers. The rice was just rice nothing special with that. The cost was $15.50 for all this and it really wasn't that good. The portions were also pretty small. I also go to try the passion fruit black bubble tea. It was bitter and kind of nasty really. I usually like tea flavored things but the passion fruit flavor was just not enjoyable.

I wish I had service on my phone when I came to the Plaza Hotel Food Hall to avoid coming to this place. I was with my family on vacation in New York and we came across this Asian restaurant that didn't seem too bad. Because of that, I didn't even bother to try and get online to check yelp until after I received my food. There is a reason that the reviews for this place all have low ratings and its because the food is not very good, the food is very overpriced and the service from the staff there is no good. I ordered the beef short rib rice bowl which was $15 and I am certain the meat I was eating was not a beef short rib. On top of that, the portions were so tiny, I easily devoured the meat and sides in my bowl only to find an oversized portion of rice. Do yourself a favor and just keep walking when you see this place. There are plenty of other good restaurants you can find here in this food hall.

Paid $18 for this pho. Smaller portion than any other Vietnamese place Ive been to and paid the most. Definitely a tourist trap, my fault for expecting more from this place.
Will never visit again for this mediocre pho...
After I had this for lunch, never felt sooo sleepy in my life. Drank two espresso shot after and never felt so gross.
Highly DO NOT recommend despite the okay food.
